14. 10. 2023 Workshop with colleagues from the Institute of Scientific Instruments

In our new electron microscopy laboratory, we welcomed mentors from the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences, associate professor Vilém Neděla and Dr. Eva Tihlaříková. Prof. Neděla leads the Group of the Environmental Electron Microscopy at his home institution, specialising in researching a wide spectrum of hard-to-observe samples, primarily non-conductive and biological samples, including dynamic in-situ experiments. His team can, for instance, observe live mites, ice, or microcapsules with live cells inside the electron microscope chamber. We are honored that members of this laboratory are helping us implement the electron microscope in our workplace, and archaeological finds are also among their research interests.
